it’s been a while, but i’m back! busy holiday season and a wedding to cater (which i’m no pro at, just a decent cook!) and now i feel like i can breathe again…at least for a bit. i decided to submit for this weeks photo challenge at iheartfaces. the theme is “we heart kisses.” along with catering my nieces wedding, i took the photos for their invitation. we did a photo-strip format and this is one of my favorite photos from the session.

another rainy day in sacramento and we are stuck indoors. what better excuse is there to make some cookies? heart shaped cookies none-the-less!

i’m so glad that anya is happy with just frosting and sprinkles on her cookies. it’s her ideal cookie, really.

i wish i enjoyed the actual act of making the cookies. it’s what i dread most. i love the decorating part, but absolutely hate flouring the surface, rolling out the dough – all that. it makes me crazy. but, anya loves it – all of it! so it’s totally worth it to see her face light up.
